I received these sandals but decided I needed a wider fitting so followed the instructions for returning filling in the details for a different fitting which i understood was free of charge. I then received an e-mail telling me you had processed a refund charging me £2.95 for returns. When i complained you told me I would have to reorder which I have no intension of doing until i am sure I have received the money. Very disappointing after years of excellent service.

I choose these Carpa sandals as they had covered toes and adjustable top and side fastenings so I was hoping they would be comfortable to wear without socks in the summertime. Unfortunately whilst the front of the sandals are very comfortable (not touching or rubbing on the toes, the top of the feet or at any edge) because of where the side fastening sits on the back of the ankle each time I have worn them they have rubbed and broken the skin on both my heels (despite me trying to adjust the velcro to try and stop this from happening). I don't often buy shoes on the internet but as I have previously had a few pairs of shoes and trainers from Hotter stores over the years and been happy with the fit I was hoping their sandal designs would be as comfortable, unfortunately these are not. Just wish you still had a store in Meadowhall so I could go see and try on your range before buying. :-(

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
