A good, smart and comfortable pair of shoes. I do, however, have some difficulty with Hotter's sizings. Last year I bought a pair of Xavier shoes in brown, listed as 12 wide. These fitted well if slightly on the large side. I now wanted a pair of black shoes, but the website only listed size 12 in a standard fitting after some deliberation, I ordered these and was surprised to found them slightly wider than the brown (but still wearable). Emboldened by this I ordered a pair of 12 standard (only width available) of Munro in your sale only to find them so narrow it was impossible to get them on. I have bought footage online from other suppliers and found sizing consistent across all styles and colours, but not it would seem, Hotter. Full marks though for the return process.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
