Only tried one boot on, felt uncomfortable at the back of heel. Also there was an unpleasant smell to the leather. Craftsmanship looked good on the one I removed from box. I was disappointed to see they were made in India, not England. If I buy any more from Hotter, I will ask first where they are made. The reason I chose to buy from Hotter many years ago was the fact they were all made in England, with Union Jacks throughout the brochure.

We can assure you 75% of our production takes place here in our Skelmersdale factory in Lancashire. However, we have discovered demand for Hotter comfort across a selection of different styles and as yet we are not able to make certain type in our UK factory, and we work with small number of selected quality partners to work with on these new projects. I was disappointed because the right shoe and the left shoe had a small variation near the tongue. The price was good so I did not return them.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
