I love the look of the boot , but they are quite hard and squeaky .
I have been googling what to do about it and AI have been more than helpful .

I did say they were made by Hotter and they explained what to do about the stiffness and the squeak . I will give it a go . I know you can't believe everything AI says , but one can read between the lines . I expect my boots will be great .

I've bought Hotter boots and shoes in the past and have always been pleased with them, but the Horsham boots were a huge disappointment. They were drastically reduced, and I now know why, but I did not expect them to be unwearable. The different materials, leather and plastic rubbing together in the tongue ,caused them to make a very loud creaking noise. My son, who happens to be a footwear designer for a popular brand, said the two materials should not have been used together and it would be impossible to sort the problem. I returned them to the store to avoid paying extra delivery charges. I see they are still being sold. In my opinion they should be withdrawn from sale as a failed product. They are giving Hotter a bad name. You require a star rating to proceed but I would not give them even one.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
