Description

I bought these to replace an old pair of leather Hotter boots I was using for gardening. Being of synthetic material the new ones were initially somewhat uncomfortable and needed a good walking to soften up.
My main disappointments are:
1. These shoes do not come in half sizes and therefore I had to use the insoles from the old boots to make up for that.
2. The pull-on tabs above the heels are not large enough to grasp firmlly to make it easy to pull the shoes on.
3. In the absence of eyelets, the laces are stiff to operate both when putting the shoes on and taking them off.
In sum, having bought Hotter shoes over the past 20 years or so I was quite disappointed with my purchase, but I have decided to keep them as they are suitable fo my gardening needs, not for long-distance walking.
I suppose you get what you pay for.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
