I was really excited when I saw these trainers for sale. I loved the 'Explore GTX' trainers Hotter made and regretted not buying another pair, and these are very similar.

I was slightly nervous about buying this style because previously the 'Explore GTX' split on the in-step along the stitching lines pretty quickly.

When I first wore these new shoes they did feel a little 'cozy' around the widest part of my feet. I have had problems before with Hotter trainers feeling fine and then months down the line starting to hurt my feet - so we'll see with these ones.

I have now broken them in with a couple dozen miles worth of walking and I do really like them. It hasn't rained so I don't know about waterproofness yet.

I am slightly concerned that them being a pale pink colour will mean they get dirty very quickly, especially in winter.

I love them and will be buying another pair in blue!

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
