I received the boots which were of good quality. However because I have large feet it seems to be assumed I have large legs as well . The boots were a fine fit foot wise but the width of the leg was ludicrous. I was so disappointed. I realise it isn’t possible to make bespoke boots for each client ( unless I spend a fortune on boots personally tailored) but it could be possible to make large foot with standard leg .I assumed wide fit was the foot and not the leg. I have seen wide foot with standard leg in other boots, but I like Hotter for the comfort and quality.

Look good. Comfortable with thick socks. The leg section is wider than my previous boots, so I thought the Balinderry boots might catch on my bike when cycling, but they're ok.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
