I have dozens of pairs of Hotter shoes and I've always been satisfied until now. After a few wears these started to rub my heel until I got a blister. Something I've never had before. When I looked at them I could see that the inside of the shoe was quite rough at the heel and there was no padding to soften the sharp edge. I wasn't able to wear them on a recent holiday so they took up precious weight in my suitcase. I still have to wear a plaster. Hopefully I'll be able to break them in over time. I have always worn a Hotter 5 with no trouble. I think these were a small 5.

The shoes are lovely. During the second time of wearing the one shoe really rubbed my heel making it bleed and feel very sore. I think the material on the heel is too stiff. As a result I have not worn the shoes again until my heel completely heals.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
