Pinterest How to Guide
Pin with us!
Pinterest is all about sharing and collecting ideas, tips and tricks or simply organising your favourite things into groups like shoes or handbags or ideas for your next craft project or new living room! You can share your boards with your friends or make new friends who like the same things. If you're a pinner already we'd love you to join us, if you're not don't worry we'll help get you started with our simple 'how to' guide.
1. First of all go to and sign up, all you need to provide is your name and email address or you can sign up via Facebook. Now you're ready to start pinning!
3. Now find some of your favourite things to add to your board. In the top left of Pinterest you'll find a search bar, simply type Hotter shoes or whatever you're searching for and you'll find lots of images to use.
2. Next visit your profile page and click the 'create a board' button and you'll see this.

Decide what you'd like to start collecting or 'pinning' and choose a name, description and category for your board and then click 'create board'.
4. Once you've found an image you love hover over it and click 'pin it'. You can then select the board you would like to add your image to and add a short description.
5. Congratulations, you've now created your first board - keep searching for more images to pin, you'll soon become an expert pinner. You can always go back to your board and keep pinning new images as you discover them.

And once you've got used to pinning your favourite things you can even pin them from your favourite websites. Download Pinterest's 'pin it' button and this will appear at the top of your screen so whenever you're on a website and find something you really like simply click the 'pin it' button and instantly add it to your boards.
Happy pinning!

We asked blogger 'Adventures of a Yorkshire Mum' why she loves Pinterest...
"I use Pinterest to get my point across in pictures. I always think that pictures inspire the imagination and when people see something they like, can click through to find out more information whether it be recipes, products or craft ideas. It's amazing some of the amazing ideas people come up with and you can find them all on Pinterest."
