HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE?

To place an order online simply follow these 5 easy steps:

  1. On the product page, add the goods you wish to purchase to your bag by selecting the size, width if appropriate, and colour and then click on "Add to shopping bag".
  2. Once you have added all the products you require, click on "Go to checkout". You'll now be shown a page where you can confirm that you're happy with the items in your shopping bag.
  3. Next, click on "Proceed to Secure Checkout" where you'll be asked for your email address. If you're an existing registered customer you'll also be asked for your password. If you're a new customer you'll have the option to create an account – simply follow the steps. Alternatively, if you wish to place your order as a guest, just omit the password section. Please note: If you choose this option you will not be able to track your order.
  4. Once you've completed this process, you'll be shown your order summary, asked to select your shipping method and confirm your shipping address.
  5. Finally, you'll be prompted to add your payment details before being asked to confirm that you wish to purchase your order.

HOW DO I PAY FOR AN ORDER ONLINE?

You can pay by credit/debit card. If you're paying by credit/debit card, a standard pre-authorisation check will be completed when you submit your order to ensure your card details are correct and that there are sufficient funds available. We accept payments via Visa, MasterCard and Electron Cards only for online and telephone orders. If you're sending your order in by post, we accept personal cheques and postal orders in addition to credit and debit card payments. We are unable at present to accept payments online using Hotter Gift Cards, or Clearpay. For full details click here.

DO YOU ACCEPT AMEX?

Unfortunately we don't accept American Express at this time. Please use one of the other payment methods listed above.

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED FOR MY ORDER?

For all online orders, you will be charged using your chosen payment method at the time, the order is placed.

For orders made over the phone you will be charged using your chosen payment method after your goods have been dispatched to your preferred delivery address.

If you've opted to pay for your order by cheque, for security purposes your cheque will be banked as soon as it is received and your order processed.

PROMOTIONAL CODE, HOW DO I USE IT ONLINE?

Once you've selected the goods you wish to purchase and clicked "Checkout", your shopping bag will be displayed. Beneath the list of items in your shopping bag is a space to insert your promotional code. Once you've entered the code click on "Apply". Any appropriate promotion or discount will be added to or deducted from the order.

Please make sure your promotional code has not expired.

Occasionally a promotional code may not appear to work correctly. Please check the terms and conditions of the offer to make sure the offer applies to the goods in your shopping bag, and that the promotional code has not expired.

If the promotional code is for Free P&P this will only show when you get to the payment section but before you confirm that you wish to place your order.

HOW DO I REMOVE AN ITEM FROM MY SHOPPING BASKET?

When the shopping bag is displayed, click on "Remove" next to the appropriate item to take it out of your shopping bag.

IF AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK, HOW WILL I KNOW?

Your shopping bag will display the expected date for despatch.

If you've included your email address on your order, you'll receive notification of any out of stock items via email. This is in addition to your confirmation email and should be received within 3 working days of placing your order.

GORE-TEX® footwear technology allows us to manufacture guaranteed waterproof footwear.

WHICH STYLES HAVE REMOVABLE INSOLES?

The majority of our footwear has removable insoles. If you require an orthotic and need additional advice, please call a Customer Advisor on 01695 797 979 to discuss which styles are best for your needs.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE / STYLE TO ORDER?

Our footwear is made to standards set out by the British Footwear Association and tested by SATRA. When buying Hotter footwear, you should order your usual size. If you're not sure what size you need, click on Hotter's Fitting Guide to measure your feet, and call our customer services on 01695 797 979 for advice.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LEATHER FOOTWEAR?

We would recommend:

  • Always allow uppers to dry naturally
  • Apply a neutral or colour-match cream cleaner with a sponge and remove with a soft cloth.
  • To prolong the life of your shoes, it's also important to keep the soles of your Hotter shoes supple. Try to wear them for a short while every few months. This helps to keep the air bubbles moving and the soles supple. Before storing your shoes away for any extended period of time, clean the soles of your Hotter shoes.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NUBUCK FOOTWEAR?

We would recommend:

  • Remove any surface dirt with a stiff clothes brush
  • Remove any stains by applying a mild soapy solution in circular motions, working from outside in
  • Always allow uppers to dry naturally
  • To prolong the life of your shoes it is also important to keep the soles of your Hotter shoes supple. Try to wear them for a short while every few months. This helps to keep the air bubbles moving and the soles supple. Before storing your shoes away for any extended period of time, clean the soles of your Hotter shoes.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SUEDE FOOTWEAR?

We would recommend:

  • Remove any surface dirt with a suede brush
  • Remove any stains by applying a mild soapy solution in circular motions, working from outside in
  • Always allow uppers to dry naturally
  • To prolong the life of your shoes it is also important to keep the soles of your Hotter shoes supple. Try to wear them for a short while every few months. This helps to keep the air bubbles moving and the soles supple. Before storing your shoes away for any extended period of time, clean the soles of your Hotter shoes.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GORE-TEX® FOOTWEAR?

We would recommend:

  • Always allow uppers to dry naturally
  • GORE-TEX® SLEEK AQUA LEATHER:
    • Use a damp cloth to remove any excess dirt from uppers
    • Apply a water-based polish
    • Polish or cream should be applied regularly in thin layers - the application of cleaning products in thick layers can affect the breathability of the GORE-TEX® product.
    • Allow to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes
    • Polish with a soft cloth
  • GORE-TEX® OIL AQUA NUBUCK:
    • Regularly use a spray-on nubuck protector
    • Remove any surface dirt with a stiff clothes brush
    • Remove any stains by applying a mild soapy solution in circular motions, working from outside in.
    • Always allow uppers to dry naturally
    • To prolong the life of your shoes it is also important to keep the soles of your Hotter shoes supple. Try to wear them for a short while every few months.
