Customer Services were great in making sure I got the right shoes for me and arranging for them to be reserved for me in a shop until I was able to pick them up. As expected, I was delighted with them. Very smart and comfortable.
I really love these shoes. They are so comfortable, and stylish too. I have been searching for a pair of plain black court shoes for ages, and as I now can't wear high heels, these are perfect. I think the dual fitting is such a great design feature. I have bunions now! So have to buy wide fitting shoes, and usually end up with a size too big, just for comfort. I was so pleased that I could wear a size 6 in this style, so my feet finally don't look like boats. ⛵️⛵️The leather is soft, and I like the non slip sole

Love them and very comfortable
Bought these yesterday and wore them last night. I really, really love them. I have various foot problems that makes if difficult for me to find court shoes with heels that I can wear (generally trainers are the only shoes I comfortable in for any length of time). These were fantastic, I found them to be a great fit and the cushioned sole meant that they were comfortable walking around. Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't walk out of them. I've also had two knee replacements this year and am still building up my strength in my knees but I felt confident and stable walking in these shoes. Also I loved the look of the burgandy metallic shoes.
Bought Olwyn (burgundy metallic) for a wedding. Put them on at 9.30 am - wore them for church service, afternoon reception - standing around, evening reception - dancing, drove back to my accommodation, then had a 15 minute-walk (steep Cornish cove road) at midnight from the car park and my feet were STILL comfortable. Well done Hotter!
Smart & Comfortable
At last a shoe that I can wear that is stylish & comfortable. I have a wide foot in size 8, but because of the width of the shoe plus ability to take out the insert these shoes are perfect. The height is perfect for wearing all day & the black patent looks great with black tights!
A bit like wearing rowboats
This is a nice, basic pump for business and dress wear. I bought size US 8 Standard as I normally do from Hotter. But I find the Olwyn shoes too wide, especially in the heels. They don't slip off if I think about them while I walk, but I'd rather not have to do that. A smaller size would probably be too short.

Loose flappy heels
These shoes look very cool and professional. However, I found them very uncomfortable to wear. The heel area kept flopping off when I tried them out initially, so I attached those sticky heel supports but it still remained uncomfortable. After a day wearing them I was desperate to take them off. Very uncomfortable. I have since bought a similar style pair from a cheaper high street store and they are far more comfortable. I wonder whether the sizing has gone wrong somewhere? The shoe just doesn't fit right...too much pushing down in the toe direction and wide and floppy in the heel direction. Sadly, after wearing once they are probably not going to be worn again, sorry.
I was so excited about Hotter shoes after reading numerous ads. First disappointment was ads said free shipping - not true. Second was trying to find out the size to order - called customer service and measured feet (length and width). I usually wear a 10 wide ordered a 9.5 standard and so large they didn't even fit with heavy socks on. Daughter wears 10.5 standard and they were to large for her also. Wish they would make a 'foot drawing' that we could print and stand on to get a better size idea. Returned and lost shipping $$.
I wanted to love you, Olwyn
I'm rarely disappointed in a pair of Hotters. (and I own a couple of dozen pair now!) And the Olwyn are beautiful. I love real patent leather (as opposed to the plastic most American shoemakers pass off as patent), so they're my first picks when new styles come out. I don't know if it's these new dual fit imports as a rule, but something is very off with both the sizing and the fit. I ordered my usual size in standard width, and while the toe box is fine, the rest of the shoe is very big overall. I smiled when I read another reviewer's description of them as "rowboats" because it's exactly on point. The heel and sides need to be narrower - and I have what I consider a fairly wide foot (C-D). I don't think sizing down in these would help as I think the way these are styled my toes would be crunched in a smaller size. It's just not a good design for some reason. Hotter, do you actually have real people walk around in these before you put them on the market? It might be a good idea :-) I can't imagine how someone with a narrower foot would deal with these at all. At first I was going to try to live with them as they are cute basic pumps that feed my patent obsession, but the one time I wore them I walked out of them all day. I'm going to try exchanging them for 1/2 size down, but I'm not very hopeful they will fit correctly. If so, I'll amend my review. Hotter, you're a fabulous company but more attention to consistency in sizing is needed.
