Blooming Marvellous
Hotter has collaborated with the Royal Horticultural Society on two stunning pumps for the SS21 season.
It's all in the details
The exclusive floral patterns have been created using a selection of artwork from the extensive RHS Lindley Collections of more than 25,000 botanical images. Designer Camilla Andrews, with the help of a print student from Manchester University, developed the pretty repeat patterns to create the modern, clean rose floral pattern and the ditsy sky-blue floral design.
More about Molly
The team spent several months researching and developing the prints and have incorporated the two beautiful floral designs into our bestselling Molly canvas pumps which are made in an organic cotton fabric. This premium product has tipped leather trim, removable Otholite® insoles and a Freesole sole for 35% energy return.
From Camilla
“I wanted to focus on the Britishness of our brand and our customers’ love of the outdoors,” explained Camilla. “Our rose canvas is inspired by garden borders, it’s quite organised, clean and modern and features hibiscus, magnolias and camellias as well as a beautiful rose. Our ditsy floral is inspired by meadow flowers – it’s actually based on a black and white print, which I stripped back, and then tested on numerous colours, before settling on the stunning sky blue."
“Hotter is the perfect fit for the RHS, it’s a well-established brand with a reputation for quality, style and comfort – and a brand that, like the RHS, strongly supports British design and development. We’re so excited to see these shoes on the feet of our garden visitors, it’s wonderful to see how our artwork has been brought to life so beautifully.”
