HOW TO WEAR
Change hosiery once a day and select socks that contain at least 80% cotton or wool to allow the feet to breathe normally and prevent excess sweating.
If the insoles or your shoes are removable take them out of your shoes when you have taken them off to prevent build up of bacteria - this stops shoes becoming smelly!
There are over 300 different foot conditions.
Foot problems can be inherited, due to wear and tear, due to disease or from poor footwear choices.
Each foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles and 100 ligaments.
With every KM we walk, we shift approximately one hundred tonnes (the weight of a blue whale), just to move our own body weight forward.
Your feet can mirror your general health - your foot specialist may be able to detect the initial signs of conditions such as poor circulation and arthritis when they check your feet.
As you read this straighten your toes and wiggle them - this will help exercise and refresh your toes.
At the end of a busy day, sit with your feet up for ten minutes to help circulation.
To refresh your feet massage gently with a foot roller - or better still ask your partner to massage them for you.
