Our designers take inspiration from the season’s catwalk trends to create a collection of beautiful shoes and sandals to capture the essence of the fashion of the moment – each with the secret comfort features that will liberate your feet.
Here designer Ellspeth leads us from ultra chic black and white to a rainbow of pretty colour.
“We saw a new kind of monochrome on the catwalk this season. The white cotton shirt had a huge revival and, both at Louis Vuitton and Burberry, we saw a pared down elegance of mix and match black and white separates worn with uniform flats.
“We added a patent toe panel and a low platform sole to our new Angel pump, giving it a modern edge and making it a great staple shoe for monochrome dressing. Choose the Tourist sandal to complete a daytime black and white style – and with soft cushioning underfoot, it really will give you that feeling of liberation that only a truly comfortable shoe can create. For evening, try Arabella, with its distinctive cut-out detail – and look out for the matching Nina bag.”
“Stripes are bold and multi-colour this time around. Prada’s were in the form of sharp skirt suits, where Stella McCartney opted for form fitting horizontals. Chloe diluted their stripes into panels of the sheerest chiffon, whilst Gucci had fun with theirs in full skirted knife pleats.
“If you don’t want to wear stripes head to toe just bring them into an accessory – our striped wedges Breeze pack a perfect punch, and they are made from the softest nubuck and have little cushions underfoot too! Wear them with a simple shirtdress and oversized frames – or choose a colour block tote like Tilbury and wear with a statement stripe dress if you’re feeling bold.”
