We have introduced you to two stars of our Hotter Originals video, third up is Fred, one of our Moulding Operators who has been a crucial part of the Hotter family for seven years.
Q. When did you start working at Hotter?
A. I started in March 2009 as a Moulding Technician.
Q. Describe the main tasks you undertake in your role
A. As the Moulding Operator, I oversee that the robots (the machines that produce our shoes) are working correctly. I check the uppers for correct sizing, weight, colour and roughing and generally making sure all uppers are clean and uniformed.
Q. What do you like most about working at Hotter?
A. I live in the local area and Hotter is great place to work locally where I can be near home if needed.
Q. What part of your job makes you happiest and why?
A. When the machine is running correctly I know that I have done my job. Achieving targets and producing a great quality of work are also big motivators for me.
Q. What part of your job makes the most difference to our customers and the product?
A. Keeping on top of any problems helps create better quality shoes and that is what everyone at Hotter is here to do.
Q. What’s the most important thing you have learnt since working at Hotter?
A. In my seven years at Hotter I am proud to say that I have learned and understand the production of making good quality footwear.
