Every pair of Hotter shoes is crafted and extensively tested in our Comfort Lab to the highest quality standards but we wanted to make sure you love them and approve too!
In Autumn, with the help of comfort testing teams, our shoes will be put to the test by dancers, retail teams and midwives to name a few. The first team to try out shoes from our Autumn collection is a group of nurses from Marie Curie, say hello to Lisa, Sally, Anisa and Donna from the Bradford Hospice and Louise, a night nurse in the Newcastle area.

Describe your job
I work in the community supporting families in need of support and help overnight with their loved one throughout their journey in end of life care. My job is just so rewarding in itself helping families in need, seeing the families faces in the morning knowing they have had rest while we support their loved one.
Why are comfortable shoes important to you?
Having comfortable shoes at work is so important, due to the nature of my role I could be on my feet for 9 hours so ensuring comfortable footwear is a major importance.
What did you like about your new shoes?
I really liked the style and the bow on the front of the shoe, they were very comfortable and soft too. When I first opened them I wore them for 4 hours and then wore them that night on night shift which was 9 hours.
When will you be wearing your shoes?
Nearly every day as they are so comfortable

Describe your job
I manage the outpatients unit, caring for patients with a terminal diagnosis. We help to make a difference to patients, relatives and carers during a tough time in their lives.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Walking in the countryside and holidays, usually backpacking. I also love spending time with my family and dog.
What was your first impression of the shoes?
The shoes looked great and fitted like a glove! They are very comfortable, I worn them all day when I first received them and had no problems.

At work, my colleagues complimented me on them and tried them on to test the comfort out for themselves.

I’m a nurse in the Bradford hospice and love my job! I go home every day knowing I have made a difference to someone’s life.
What was your first impression of the shoes?
My first impression was of delight at the quality of the shoe, they were clearly well made with excellent materials. They did not feel like new shoes even from the first wearing, they are so comfortable.
When will you wear these shoes?
I’ve been wearing them every day when on duty at the hospice, they’re comfortable and smart and comply with our uniform policy. They did not need any breaking in, comfortable from the start.
Would you recommend Hotter to family and friends?
Yes, definitely! There is a wide range of style and colour and are well known to be of excellent quality.

Tell us about your job
I work in the Day Therapy unit looking after the patients and setting up the activities which is what I enjoy most about this role. I also sit with the patients and support them with carrying out the activities as well as organising transport for them.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to cook, garden and take long walks. The thing I like to do most is to spend time with my youngest daughter.
Describe your first impression of the shoes
I loved the shoes upon first glance and as soon as I tried them on, they felt super comfortable. Usually I have to break in shoes, however with a good quality pair you don’t have to.
