It’s a Walkies Thing

The whole Hotter team has fallen in love with Dexter, the beautiful boxer that belongs to Hotter Merchandiser Leanne.

Here at Hotter we have gone doggy mad! Not only have we brought you the #HotterWalkies campaign, we thought it was time to pamper your pooches. Whatever the size of your pet, we have a knitting pattern for a cute and cosy doggy coat that you can download for free today. We have asked members of the Hotter team to bring their dogs along to model the styles for you…


Bailey is a 5 years old Cocker Spaniel, who has been in owner Carol, the Hotter Finance Assistant’s family since he was 18 months old. His favourite thing to do is to try and catch the birds whilst out walking or even in the garden when they fly past, although owner Carol is sure they tease him knowing he can’t catch them! He is a very loving dog and gives kisses all the time – even if you haven’t asked for one and he loves nothing more than having cuddles on the couch.

Coco is a 3 ½ year old Lhasa Apso who enjoys three walks a day with her owner Customer Service Advisor Alex. She loves the spotlight and lives for attention from the whole family. Her favourite game is playing with her tennis ball and after a long day of playing her favourite meal is stewed steak.

Drake is a 16-month-old Border Collie that owner Nicky, the Senior Accounts Clerk has had since he was 10 weeks old. He is full of energy and loves nothing more than chasing after tennis balls and cuddles on the couch at night when he is all tired out.

Rufus is a chocolate and tan miniature dachshund who loves walkies, food and his favourite squeaky toy – in fact Father Christmas bought him six last year and sometimes he takes one with him for walkies!  He loves to sing when the telephone rings and can woof ‘I love you’ to his mum, PR and Social Media Manager Mel.

Blu is a 7-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier that her owner Jessica, the Hotter Customer Service Advisor has had for 5 months. She is very playful and energetic and her favourite game is running away with Jessica’s shoes and daily cuddles as soon as Jessica walks in the door.

Blu didn’t seemed fazed by wearing this classic knit which matched owner Jessica’s new season County boots perfectly.

Eric is a 2-year-old King Charles Spaniel that his owner Martyn, our Merchandising Projects & Business Analyst has had since he was just 6 weeks old. Eric is incredibly friendly and playful and he loves playing fetch the Frisbee on the beach! When he is not out playing, he enjoys watching TV and his favourite film is Jungle Book.

Eric loves his neckerchief, it is designed to fit any dog and you can colour coordinate it to match favourite Hotter shoes!

Bo is a 2-year-old Parson’s Jack Russell Terrier and what she lacks in size, she makes up for with personality! Bo’s owner, Customer Service Team Leader Vanessa, has entered her into amateur dog shows where she has won the accolade of ‘The Most Graceful Dive’ and of course ‘The Prettiest Girl’.

Bo models the small dog knitting pattern that goes perfectly with the Hotter Vanity Boots.

Meesha is an 11 ½ year old Husky that was found abandoned and distressed on the side of the road 6 ½ years ago by owner Customer Service Administrator Deborah’s son. Since then Meesha has grown into a sweet and caring dog who loves playing with her companion, another husky called Nanook.

Yvonne, our Customer Service Advisor owns Luigi, a 13-year-old rescue dog who is a mix between a Whippet and a Border Collie (lovingly entitled by his family a ‘Border Whippet!’). He is a very pleasant natured dog whose best friend is a rescue cat called Ted that follows him everywhere he goes.

Luigi was only too happy to wear this cable knit doggy jumper, a style that works great with flats or the Hotter Vanity boots.

Resource Planner Mary owns lovable Louie, the gentle giant from our knitting pattern photoshoot. Although he was bursting out of the doggy coats, we thought he looked super cute in the stylish neckerchief that owner Mary matched with her favourite Hotter shoes, the County Chelsea boots in tan leather.

Little Ruby is a five year old mini dachshund who is short in legs but big on attitude, in fact she rules the roost and runs rings around brother Rufus.  She loves gravy bones and adores walkies, in fact she has her own particular yap that can’t be stopped once she sees dad David, Hotter Accountant, putting on his coat and finding her collar and lead.
