Hotter is proud to have stepped up to become a Soles4Souls business partner after donating of 1k pairs of shoes to help the charity’s fight against global poverty.

Soles4Souls is a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Founded in 2006, the organisation has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries.

“We are a strong supporter of Soles4Souls’ mission and we hope the shoes we have sent will help them in their quest to disrupt the cycle of poverty around the globe,” said Hotter CEO Sara Prowse.  “As the UK’s biggest shoe maker the work that Soles4Souls is undertaking really is the perfect fit for our company and we are delighted and proud to supply them with these shoes.

“Our first donation of 1k pairs was packed by a team of 24 volunteers who swapped their desk jobs for an evening of packing shoes. We’re  all excited to see where the shoes go and hear about who they will help.”

Hotter’s donation was supported by its shipping partner Hermes who delivered the 48 boxes of shoes to the Soles4Souls hub by free of charge.

Soles4Souls disrupts the cycle of poverty by creating sustainable jobs and providing relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Many Hotter hands…

… made light work of of packing 1,000 pairs of shoes.

“Teamwork made this project work,” commented Sara.  “We were packing 18 shoes per minute, which was a great achievement for colleagues who had spent a day at their desks before rolling up their sleeves and getting busy with shoes and boxes.”
