This weekend we’ll be joining in the royal celebrations at HQ and in over 80 of our stores with everything red, white and blue!
As we prepare for this weekend’s celebrations we remember the day when we were proud to be presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of the UK’s most prestigious business accolades.
The UK’s most prestigious business award was hand delivered by Her Majesty’s representative in our county, the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire The Rt Hon the Lord Shuttleworth KCVO, with Deputy Lieutenants Robert Webb JP DL and Carl Hankinson DL and cadet Daniel Wade in attendance. We were also delighted to be joined by our MP Rosie Cooper, the Mayor of West Lancashire Nikki Hennessy and John Saunders, the Chief Executive British Footwear Association.
Hotter Founder Stewart Houlgrave and ‘It’s A Shoe Thing’ Editor Melanie Killilea were honoured to be invited to Buckingham Palace in July last year to officially receive the award along with the Royal family, MPs, dignitaries and other winners. You too can join in the birthday celebrations in style, with shoes fit for a queen. Find your perfect pair in patriotic colours red white and blue.
From everyone at Hotter, we’d like to wish Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 90th birthday.
Win new shoes
As part of our celebrations we’re giving you the chance to win new shoes! For your chance to win , leave a comment below telling us which pair of Hotter shoes you would wear for your birthday celebrations and why.
One winner will be picked on Monday 30th May 2016. Competitions terms and conditions can be found at www.hotter.com.
It would have to be Molly Sandals – elegant enough for a celebration, but nice and summery-looking 🙂
I would wear Tone shoes as they are so comfortable and one of the few pairs of shoes that look stylish with my orthotics that I can get in these shoes.
I would chose ‘Nirvana’ in red as my birthday treat and as it’s my birthday in July, I think this would be a very appropriate thing to win.
I only usually get a little present from my husband on my birthday and there’s no one else to buy me one.
Red is my favourite colour and I have a few Hotter boots and winter shoes so a fantastic pair of sandals would make me so happy.
PICK ME please 🙂
It’s actually my birthday today! (13th May) I would wear Abbeyville for a birthday celebration as I have always loved the moccasin style, it flatters my wide feet. I find it very difficult to find wide fitting shoes that look classy and stylish without compromising on comfort. I have made it a habit to visit the local botanical gardens every birthday (depending on the weather of course) and these would be the ideal shoes to wear next time.
I love the Carnival shoes in off white – I am flexing my toes as I type they are so excited!
I would wear the Maisie sandals in black for my birthday celebrations. These are available in extra wide feet which would suit my feet and because they have extra cushioning and contoured support they would be comfortable for the whole duration of my celebration. Also the black colours means they would go with any outfit and would look great for both formal or informal occasions.
I’d wear the Precious flats with linen trousers and top for my birthday later this month. Nice and cool…but smart!
I would wear Chile in beige because they look so stylish and would go with anything I decided to wear. They also look extra comfy, important in case I have to stand for a while. I have had my birthday this year but there is always next year!
I’d have to opt for the Bridgette heels in burgundy because they’re on trend, a gorgeous colour and guaranteed to get me through the night without any aching or blisters! No excuse for not partying the night away ?
I love the Donna heels in dark aqua. I love the colour as it would go with many of my outfits. The style of the shoes has a slight Victorian feel and are slightly unusual. They look comfy but are also elegant.
I would choose peony in bright UK post box red to show my patriotism and respect for our Queen
I think it would have to be Biscay for me in Navy. I can think of nothing better for a birthday celebration than a lovely walk followed by a pub lunch and Biscay fits the bill for a casual day out.
I would love to wear the “Precious” Pumps in the taupe shade, as they would be cool, stylish and pretty, without compromising on comfort for my precious feet!
It would also mean that I could choose from many different outfits to go with them (being so versatile)…for any impromptu invitation or impulse!
I would go barefoot on my birthday so my footwear matches my birthday suit!
Don’t be silly, no I wouldn’t. Not in October – too cold! I would want some sensible shoes that reflect my wish for it to still be summer but ready to run through piles of autumn leaves, so red nirvana shoes would suit the occasion much better than bare feet!
I fell in love with the Jewel Vintage Floral the first time I saw it on the website. I can’t wear heals any more but don’t see why my shoes can’t still be fun as I get older!
I’d choose Hattie Wedges in floral pink. My birthday is in May and these are just right to celebrate a birthday and the coming of Spring. Both put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.
I would were my lovely Tone shoes I bought in Yarm. They are still going strong after 18 months but now have silver splashes from painting. These shoes should be sold here in Australia because lots of people wear orthotics and there isn’t much choice. They go well with trousers or coloured tights and skirts.
Juliette, because it is as versatile and comfortable now as it would have been in the decade Her Majesty the Queen was born.
I would wear my jewel shoes in blue, love the fact that i can wear them occasionally with the orthotics which usually have to be worn every day in my many pairs of Leanne trainers, having different colours really cheers me up.
Juliette, because it is as versatile and comfortable now as it was in the decade Her Majesty the Queen was born.
My birthday is in March. I would choose one of the wonderful shades of the Donna shoe to wear with a special outfit. A photo of this shoe is the reason I discovered Hotter.
My wardrobe is filled with Hotter shoes, but I can always find space for one more pair. I HEART HOTTER SHOES!
Ohhh! I will be wearing the resort sandals in soft gold for my birthday in July. Lovely multi tasking holiday shoe, perfect with long summer dresses, capris, and by the pool. The colour is also perfect: metallic but subtle.
The Ramble shoes in brown would be my choice. Living on the edge of the Peak District my birthday would be spent enjoying a walk in one of the dales and stopping for lunch at a local pub. Ramble shoes with the gore-tex finish and the comfort which Hotter is justly famous ensures my day will be wonderful from start to finish.
So elegant and no compromise to comfort, what more could you ask for! My new navy lizard Monica shoes are a dream. Formal enough for the most Royal of occasions and bought to go with my Mother of the Bride outfit. Perfect!
I would wear my metallic “valetta” shoes, they go with everything, smart, and so,so, comfy
I am a Hotterholic, and have many pairs of your shoes in various colours and styles, but my favourite style is VALETTA. — please can you make a 1 1/2″ heel or wedge heel sling back, with peeptoe in plain WHITE [other colours too], my Lotus shoes in this style are 20 years old and past their best !!!!!
Bestest good wishes for your continuing success.
Pam Courtenay Smith
It is my birthday on the 28th May, when I will be 82 years old. I have treated myself to a navy and white spotted dress for the occasion and so the nave sandal with a heel would look very smart don’t you think?
It is my 61st Birthday on May 31st and I know which shoes I will be wearing, My Hotter Donna in Pink Suede to match my hand made birthday dress. As a sucessful sewing blogger I like to look good and Hotter shoes mix comfort with style. Perfect combination. LOVE THEM
I’d wear Papillon ballerina pumps because they’re shoe-per (just like birthdays!) and I’m head-over-heels in love them. They look so comfy too – after all, what’s the ‘pointe’ of spending your birthday in uncomfortable shoes? 🙂
Love the navy Juliette shoes, heels perfect to match my new dress I’ve bought for my mum’s 70th birthday party. I need a lift too as I am so short height wise,
I would wear the navy Juliette shoes perfect for my new dress for my mums 70th birthday party celebrations.
I would choose Peony shoes in bright red – because they remind me of my favourite shoes ever which I had many years ago when I was young. Ah – memories – how I loved those red shoes! Where are we without our memories?
Hi Anita, congratulations, you have won a new pair of Hotter shoes! Please email us at [email protected] with your details.
