From First Sketch
to first step
If you’ve been a little curious about exactly how a Hotter shoe is created, here’s ladies designer Rosie Jamieson to give you a sneak peak behind the scenes of one of our bestselling styles Shake.
A season starts 12 months before the shoe hits the shelves when we’re avidly checking out catwalks, key international shopping cities and colour forecasts to spot the trends we believe our customers will love. We then “Hotterise” them, maximising style and, of course, comfort features.
Back at the office, we pool ideas, see what fits best into product collections and we sketch, tweek and refine many, many shoes before we make our final selection.
Technical drawings are made for each shoe; including upper, sole, lining and fastening so that patterns can be drawn up.
Colours & Finishes
We play around with leathers, colours, linings and trimmings on the computer so we can tweek and perfect the finished look.
Test & Production
Every pair is fitted and wear tested thoroughly before we press the button for final production.
We invited blogger Nikki Thomas to test out Shake;
“Stylish, comfortable and practical, Shake are my go-to Hotter shoe every season. They are perfect for work or play as I am on my feet all day and they work with most outfits and keep my feet comfortable all day.”
