Now we're into boots season, fashion stylist Rivkie Baum is here to give her style inspiration for your classic and contemporary boots.
Following her classic choice of Harmony II, Rivkie has chosen contemporary boot Waltham and sheds some light on what she loves most about these boots and, most importantly, how she styles them.
"I always look forward to the clocks changing because that plants us firmly into boot season," say fashion stylist and writer Rivkie Baum, who has over ten years’ experience in the fashion industry.
"Now, don’t get me wrong. I love a strappy sandal as much as the next person, but boots are really when my footwear wardrobe comes into its own."
Knee-high boots can be tricky when finding the right fit, so I’m a big fan of ankle and mid-length boots to help expand my shoe wardrobe. Hotter’s Waltham boots are great for a smart everyday look; a sturdy walking boot with a small but sleek wedge, these will be comfortable enough for everything from a walk in the park to hitting the shops in town.
Looking for added comfort? The elasticated panels down the side of the boots ensure that these have an easy fit and will move with you, while the ankle strap offers extra support and style.
Of course, being Hotter boots, Waltham has amazing sole comfort, meaning you can get on with your day feeling comfortable and looking stylish in one easy step.
The stepped front at the calf is a nice added detail and a good reminder that Hotter don’t just make shoes that feel good, they’ve thought of all those little design details too. The calf length also makes them incredibly versatile as they can be worn with trousers, skirts or dresses.
I love this burgundy colour for Autumn Winter as it pairs really well with neutral tones as well as monochromes, but still adds a much needed pop of colour on those dreary Winter mornings. With boots like these, you’ll be racing out the house in no time.
