We’ve had a busy, busy week in Leeds with the official opening of our lovely new store. Our friends The Calendar Girls helped us celebrate in style, with a countdown and ribbon cutting ceremony at the store on Commercial Street and we invited in the crowds for a glass of bubbly and some special gifts for the first customers through the door. The girls, who once posed wearing nothing but Hotter shoes (see photo at the bottom of the page), were assisted by our VIP for the day, Maureen Lilywhite, a local hero from the area.

Here’s more about Maureen ….For the past 13 years Maureen Lillywhite has been a senior community health development worker for Zest – Health For Life – which helps improve lives in the local community. Her projects include Meanwood Olympics which attracts over 2,000 people annually and the Laughter Club, which gives older people a chance to make new friends and take part in fun activities. Her work with older people continues through the year as at Christmas she is the emergency contact for people who have no family near by and four times a year, during her annual leave, she is the host for a coach holiday.
The iconic Calendar Girls love Hotter shoes, as they posed for this photo wearing nothing but Hotter over ten years ago.
Later in the day we opened the doors of our store to a dozen delightful bloggers who were introduced to latest trends and enjoyed a Hotter moment or two as they tried our new styles. Watch out for the full details in a later post and look out for their reviews online and across our social pages #HotterLeeds #HotterFeelGoodStyle or why not join in the conversations.
