Blogger Ali Davies from wemadethislife.com shares with us 5 different ways to style our beautiful Belle boots on the school run.
I’m a busy work-at-home mum of three young children who likes to look good but needs to be comfortable. Most mornings see me rushing out of the door before 8 o’clock to take the children to nursery and school and I need footwear that is capable of running this journey with me!
I have very little time to get myself ready so I always buy footwear that can go with lots of different outfits and is easy to put on as I’m running out of the door.
Every autumn / winter I opt for boots, time and time again. They are so versatile and comfy, and not to mention weatherproof! Who wants soggy feet when it decides to pour with rain at school pick up time?! This year I’m sporting the Belle Boots by Hotter in Dark Tan. They are so comfortable I can wear them all day and they go with absolutely anything.
I’d like to share with you 5 different ways you can wear these boots on the school run. From casual days where you are running from school to playgroup to days where you might need to head to a meeting or the office after you have dropped the children off so you need a smarter look that is still practical.
Casual Look With Jeans and a Puffy Jacket
Pop your boots on over skinny jeans and an oversized sweatshirt and throw on a warm jacket. Perfect for when you have to walk to school on a cold day or you are heading to the park afterwards and need to be comfy and warm.
Tights and a Denim Dress
Some days you need to look a little more stylish. Don’t let being a mum stop you from looking good, a simple denim dress with tights and these boots looks cool enough for any coffee date with the trendy mums from school.
Shirt dress and leggings
One day a week I take my little boy to a playgroup so I can chat with some friends and he can play with different toys and socialise too. On days like these I like to look good but need to wear something flexible and comfy so that I can sit on the floor and play with the baby. A shirt dress is on trend and teamed with leggings and my trusty boots I know that I am comfortable and look good.
A Smarter Look for Work with a Dress and Smart Coat
You might have a meeting or be heading to work straight from the school run and at times like this you need an outfit that works for both. I can dress up my boots with a dress and tights and throw on a smart coat and nice handbag and I have the perfect look for work.
Layers of cream and grey for a day at the shops
Finally, we all like to shop don’t we! On days where I am heading to the shops after the school run I like to look smart, wear layers and be prepared for lots of walking. I love the look of wearing these boots over beige trousers, paired with a cream jumper and wool poncho that is easy to take on and off when you are going from inside to outside.
As you can see there are just so many ways you can rock these boots, not only on the school run but beyond. They are so versatile! Do you live in boots in the autumn and winter?
